The new owner of The Sewing Box Quilt Shop, April Hershberger, took over March 19th, 2023 and moved the store to the new location in Meyersdale, PA. April is an eager quilter and can't wait to share her passion with others.  April is a wife, mother of two boys, and graduate of Frostburg State University as well as a social media influencer and creator. Her designs and home has been published in several magazines and she hopes to one day get The Sewing Box published too! 

The new "home" of The Sewing Box Quilt Shop is the "old Clapper's building" in Meyersdale and has many community and quilting connections. Doris Clapper, the founder's wife, was one of the creators of the Meyersdale Quilt Show and her daughter, Kim, later ran it for many years. It is our hope that the building's new life brings new life to Meyersdale as well and we can't wait to host you at the new location soon. 

Meet BOLT our store mascot and a Boston Terrier that is likely to be found around the shop when you stop in on a weekday.
