Yoder’s Guest House was built in 1901 by Dr. B. Litchty for his residence and practice. The original, glazed bevelled glass doors and hardwood floors offer a welcoming charm to this former mansion. In 1971, it was purchased by the Yoders and they converted it into a motel.
In 2014, Chuck and Denise Gerhringer, from the Philadelphia area, purchased Yoder’s Motel. They began renovations to reflect their own personality and view of the future of the building.
Yoder’s Guest House offers 9 guest rooms each with a private bath, and 2 guest rooms that share a bathroom. The spacious front porch greets you, the guest, upon arrival and invites you to have a seat to enjoy the sights of Meyersdale. In the evening, you are welcome to relax in the doctor's library, play games in the dining room and appreciate the company of other guests.
